She has seen sweeping changes in the office demographic she says -- women now make up half of all U.S. workers -- but "the government has not kept up with the changes in peoples’ lives," she says. Her interview reiterates many of the findings in "The Shriver Report: A Woman's Nation Changes Everything" a report supported by Maria Shriver and the Center for American Progress. The publication, released this fall, analyzes how a growing female presence in the workplace affects not only women, but also men, children and families.
