Left of College Station has been online for one year! Left of College Station has a new look, and an expanded audience. As a member of the Texas Progressive Alliance, a front page blogger on Texas Kaos, and a co-host on the progressive community radio show Biased Transmission, Left of College Station can now reach more people than ever before. Also, now you can find the blog at the new web site: http://www.leftofcollegestation.com/. Thank you to everyone that has supported this blog, and thank you to all of my readers. I look forward to another year of blogging, and another year of political activism.
“What do our opponents mean when they apply to us the label “Liberal?” If by “Liberal” they mean, as they want people to believe, someone who is soft in his policies abroad, who is against local government, and who is unconcerned with the taxpayer's dollar, then … we are not that kind of “Liberal.” But if by a “Liberal” they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a “Liberal,” then I'm proud to say I'm a “Liberal.””

Happy Blog-iversary!
Thank you Heather! Your blog-iversary is not too far away.
Just passed it, actually - April 8th. For a bit of a recluse, it turns out I have quite a bit to say. Who knew? :)
Well, now I feel bad for not knowing that you have been online for over a year already.
However, just think: I know of at least half a dozen local blogs that have come and gone in the last year.
